About the qualification
This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
Entry Requirements
Prospective students are must be atleast 18 years of age
To assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Angel Institute will conduct a Pre-Training Review
The student must obtain ACSF 3 Level in LLN to enrol in this qualification.

Course Duration
The program duration is typically 18 months. Students should also set aside 6 hours per week for self study time.
Delivery and Assessment
CHC50113 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is delivered as face to face delivery in a combination of classroom and simulated envrionment. Assessment method includes Written Questions, Observations and Workplacement Tasks. Practical workplacement forms part of the course.

Practical workplacement
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 240 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. Students are required to undertake supervised practical placement in relevant child care settings. Evidence provided by the supervisor will contribute to assessment of the candidate’s ability to work at this level. Students must also have a valid Working with Children Check.
